Chinch Bugs

Chinch bugs suck the juices from grass leaves during hot, dry weather in open sunny areas of the lawn. The leaves turn brown and remain attached to the root system. Treatment should occur as soon as damage is recognized. Treatment may not be necessary if chinch bug populations are low and the grass is actively growing. Proper irrigation during dry weather conditions is important to prevent excessive damage.
